For the increasing number of people seeking the pleasures
of city living the Crosbie's Yard development brings their
search to an end. It has everything - style, design excellence,
superb accommodation & prime location. The I.F.S.C., Spencer
Dock, the National College of Ireland University & the
Point Theatre are all close by.
The canal at Spencer Dock is being widened and waterside walkways
and a linear park are being created which will link Crosbie's
Yard not only with Docklands but with the entire south city
via the new Calatrava Bridge at Macken Street.
Art & Culture
The whole heart of the city is being redeveloped in a
comprehensive manner and property values are predicted to
rise strongly in this area due to the calibre and scale of
the rejuvenation. The Docklands is also the favourite location
to secure the new National Conference Centre and this would
be another huge boost for the area.
In essence, the buildings derive their strong form directly
from the construction system employed and from the studied
application of a limited palette of finishes. We believe that
the resulting clear building form with well integrated landscape
and boundary treatment will create a welcoming and relaxing
urban living environment.
By the River
The buildings to the east and west of the site have living
rooms looking inwards on to the heavily landscaped podium
garden, while the south block has living rooms looking south
over the Royal Canal, its linear park and beyond to the Dublin
mountains. The southern façade of the commercial building
incorporates a hanging garden shading system, which enhances
the urban garden treatment of the podium.
